Emily is an Australian qualified lawyer who has experience in a diverse range of litigation matters including matters involving defamation, fraud, negligence, consumer protection and contractual disputes.
Before joining Woodsford, Emily was an Associate at one of Australia’s leading law firms, HWL Ebsworth. She has experience litigating in the Magistrate, District and Supreme Courts of Queensland as well as the Federal Court of Australia.
While in private practice, Emily worked on large scale litigation in the Supreme Court of Queensland. Emily’s experience includes acting for a model litigant in a contractual dispute against one of the world’s largest medical manufacturers and assisting a non-for-profit organisation defend claims of wrongful termination. She has represented a variety of clients including government departments, not-for-profit organisations, corporate entities and individuals.
Emily has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Queensland University of Technology. Emily was admitted in the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2018 and the High Court of Australia in 2019.
