Bram Berends is an Investment Officer based in London. Before joining Woodsford, Bram was a Netherlands-qualified lawyer working as a litigator at Stibbe, a leading Dutch law firm. 

As a lawyer, Bram specialised in insolvency, restructuring and complex commercial litigation. He has experience advising shareholders and directors on liability related issues and has represented a range of both Dutch and international clients in various legal proceedings before the Dutch courts. Bram has worked on a Dutch collective action for damages and assisted in large scale bankruptcy proceedings of various corporations. He also spent three months on secondment with the legal team of a global, Netherlands headquartered, financial institution where he focused on litigation and financial restructuring and recovery (FR&R).

Bram obtained a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws (with honors) from Leiden University. He was admitted to the Amsterdam Bar in January 2019. Bram has written articles and case commentaries on both civil law and insolvency law related issues and is a board member of the Dutch Association of Young Insolvency Lawyers.
