Ioan Mortimer joined Woodsford as an Investment Associate in October 2020.
Ioan has a key role in the origination and organisation stages of Woodsford’s cases with a particular focus on securities litigation. He makes enhanced engagement happen by helping institutional investors hold wrongdoers to account and recover losses as a result of serious ESG failings at publicly listed companies across a range of jurisdictions including the United Kingdom, continental Europe, and Japan.
Ioan is currently advancing cases where the ESG failings include accountancy fraud, financial irregularities, bribery, corruption, breaches of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing legislation, sanctions violations and modern slavery.
Prior to joining Woodsford, Ioan worked at London law firm Forsters LLP where he worked on several group action claims. He graduated with a law degree from the University of Liverpool and completed the LPC at Cardiff University.
