Baroness Helena Kennedy QC to deliver the inaugural Woodsford Litigation Funding Lecture at the University of Westminster Law School on 11 October 2016

Baroness Helena Kennedy QC is one of Britain’s most distinguished lawyers. She has spent her professional life giving voice to those who have least power within the system, championing civil liberties and promoting human rights.

In the inaugural Woodsford Litigation Funding Lecture at the University of Westminster, Baroness Kennedy will offer a fresh perspective on the growing relevance of third party litigation funders in the civil justice system, and will urge those involved in litigation funding to never lose sight of the fundamental importance of access to justice.

This flagship lecture will be attended by as many as 300 barristers, solicitors, judges, academics, students, legal journalists, policymakers, and others with an interest in the law and practice of litigation funding. The lecture will be followed by an informal drinks reception, and an opportunity for discussion and networking.
