Award Monetisation

Following a successful claim, cash flow can become a major issue for law firms and claimants alike as they face further delays in the realisation of any award. Woodsford is able to relieve the pressure on cash flow through a range of finance solutions that deliver cash immediately and mitigate enforcement risk. These include structured finance arrangements for payment of compensation, or capital funding for business and other expenses not necessarily related to the dispute.

For example, a claimant whose business has been financially distressed by the defendant’s conduct during the dispute, may seek funding to help rehabilitate its business, or start a new business. We are able to consider such financing arrangements, with our return secured on the proceeds of the litigation or other assets of the claimant’s business.

We also provide tailored monetisation solutions for law firms that alleviate the pressure for collection, support sustained cash flow, and increase revenue opportunities. Where class actions are being pursued, these monetisation solutions remove the burden of risk from law firms and claimants, and allow for structured settlement payments.
