Steven Friel joins a panel discussing the evolving UK class actions landscape at The Lawyer’s Managing Risk & Litigation conference in London.
On 1 October 2026, Woodsford’s Steven Friel joined an expert panel at The Lawyer’s Managing Risk & Litigation 2026 in London for a discussion on the evolving class actions landscape.
The 12th edition of The Lawyer’s Managing Risk & Litigation 2026 brought together senior in-house litigators and risk professionals to consider emerging litigation risks and the developments shaping future disputes strategies. This year’s wider programme covered issues including international class actions, regulatory enforcement, AI and disputes, cyber risk and geopolitical uncertainty.
Steven’s panel considered how the UK class actions landscape is developing, the factors driving those changes and what businesses should be aware of as collective litigation continues to evolve. The discussion also explored the growing significance of collective actions within the wider disputes landscape and the role of third-party litigation funding in supporting access to redress. Steven was joined by Hogan Lovells Cadwalader Partners Andrew Leitch and Louise Lamb, with the discussion chaired by fellow Partner Matthew Felwick.
