Emily leads the identification and management of high-impact class actions targeting corporate misconduct and governance failures. She collaborates closely with institutional investors and key stakeholders to pursue litigation that holds corporations accountable and drives meaningful change.
Emily has played a pivotal role in major cases across multiple jurisdictions, including the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Australia. She has worked on a variety of collective redress cases (on a group and class basis) covering securities, financial products and product liability litigation. Emily is also a member of the Women of Litigation Finance (WOLF), an organisaton intended to give women in and around the litigation finance field a space for support, mentorship and connections.
Her prior litigation experience spans a wide range of commercial matters, including defamation, fraud, negligence, consumer protection, and contractual disputes.
Before joining Woodsford, Emily practiced at HWL Ebsworth, one of Australia’s leading law firms. There, she represented a diverse client base including government departments, not-for-profit organisations, corporate entities, and high-net-worth individuals, across the Supreme, District, and Magistrates Courts of Queensland and New South Wales, as well as the Federal Court of Australia.
Emily is an Australian qualified lawyer and holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Queensland University of Technology. She is admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia.
