Global investors gather in London for a full day of insights, recognition and networking focused on investor stewardship and responsible capital allocation.
On Monday 1 December 2025, Woodsford CEO Steven Friel joined a panel at the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN) 2025 Global Stewardship Forum in London. He was joined by Vaishnavi Ravishankar of Brunel Pension Partnership Limited, Sawan Wadhwa of Evenlode Investment and Chirag Mehta of Quantum Mutual Fund India, with the discussion moderated by Laura Hillis of the Church of England Pensions Board.
The panel examined how investors assess financial and reputational risks linked to companies operating in contentious sectors, the dilemmas that can arise for fiduciaries, and the range of stewardship tools available to respond. It also considered the evolving regulatory landscape and shifting stakeholder expectations, highlighting different stewardship approaches and the potential risks and pitfalls that investors must navigate.
ICGN’s annual Global Stewardship Forum and Award Ceremony brought together asset owners, asset managers and expert advisers from around the world, providing an opportunity to network and to discuss key issues related to investor stewardship.
Woodsford was pleased to sponsor the event and is pleased to contribute to global conversations around investor stewardship, particularly in areas where contentious business activities intersect with corporate governance, risk management and collective redress.
