Woodsford joins discussion on how CAT cases originate and develop at Unlocking Collective Actions panel.
On 18 March 2026, Woodsford’s David Haughan joined an expert panel at Litigation Funding Next Gen’s Unlocking Collective Actions event for a discussion on how CAT cases originate and take shape long before a claim reaches the public domain.
David was joined by Sarah O’Keeffe (Brick Court Chambers), Giles Kenningham MBE (Trafalgar Strategy) and Thierry Wetzel (Alvarez and Marsal), with the session moderated by Namita Moorjani (Deminor).
The event focused on the work that happens behind the scenes in the early stages of collective actions, from initial strategic thinking through to the commercial and analytical considerations that help determine whether a claim becomes viable. It also considered the collaboration required across the different parties involved in shaping these cases from an early stage.
Hosted at Deminor Litigation Funding’s office in Gray’s Inn, London, the event provided an insightful look at the relatively new CAT regime and the range of expertise involved in bringing them together.
